No, thank you.

I came upon this in a restaurant bathroom (after I was finished eating, sadly).

Please say it's not just me - scrubbing your hands with some questionable grainy bowl of something simply does not appeal. Just how long has this stuff been sitting here getting funky? Is this even legal? Do I call the Soap Police?

Hmm... Possibilities

Here's a picture of a bathroom in Tampere Railway Station in Tampere, Finland.

The blue light is to discourage intravenous drug use by making it more difficult to find a vein. Crazy, no?

I wonder if there's a color of light that would discourage calories from my kitchen? Purple?

While we're at it, here's an interesting Wikipedia article on toilets.

True Story

I went into the Publix rest room for a bit of private business. I was in there for all of five minutes, and the motion sensor light switch decided that the room was empty and turned the light off.

Great. Luckily I have a cell phone.

There was only one stall - the handicapped stall. So I stood up, washed my hands in the dark while still in the stall (I really like that about handicapped stalls - all stalls should have their own sink!), and then came out of the stall.

The light still did not come on until I was practically on top of the door. This here is a motion sensor that needs some adjusting, folks.

Also, they store a plethora of raincoats in this public bathroom for some reason. Perhaps in case of extreme potty emergencies - Florida is a retiree's paradise, after all.

I Shit You Not (LOL)

This pic was taken in a central Florida Best Buy bathroom. Yes, really.

I don't usually remember my dreams.

I had a very odd dream this morning. My mother came out of the bathroom at my apartment. I went in right after her to find the walls entirely smeared with feces.

My shower back-scrubbing brush was on the sink, caked in more feces, and apparently was the tool used for the wall smearing. My mother is the cleanest woman you'll ever meet. This would never happen.

My attention was grabbed by bright flashing or strobing from the bathroom window. I climbed in the shower to look out and saw a beautiful deep space scene, with stars and planets and comets flashing and strobing and whizzing around in a dynamic show. It struck me as beautiful at the time, and eventually I thought to go get my camera.

I only got to take a couple of pics before the entire space-scene began to rapidly retreat away, as if it didn't want to be photographed.

Isn't spectacular stellar phenomenon a bad omen?
