1) So Cute! 2) What's wrong with me?

This penguin is super cute! I couldn't help thinking maybe he had a parasite on his butt that he was trying to shake off. Hopefully he was just a happy penguin.

Chance Favors the Connected Mind

Another RSA video, this time promoting an interesting book. I'll be putting this one on request at the library.

Hyperbole and a Half

Hyperbole and a Half is a fun blog where a girl named Allie does her damnedest to put herself down, while scrawling awful-yet-perfect pictures of the scenes she's describing. She makes me laugh, and her blog is well worth a visit. Check out one of her videos below.

Le Cinema de Dresden Codak

I've recommended 'Dresden Codak' before, but maybe you missed it. He creates gorgeous web comics, and now a fun retro video - check it out!

(It's only three minutes long, go for it!)

Melody Gardot's Naughty Grandma!

Updated: The embedded video (hey, it was my first one, whattayaknow) was causing issues with the template formatting, so I changed it to a link instead. Check out the vid, it's worth a watch.

Melody Gardot is a talented singer/songwriter, and she's got great storytelling skills too.

Would it be so hard?

More and more news stories are delivered as video clips - this is fine, especially for something especially suited to footage. But if it seems that too often, news stories are being offered as video clips only. Would it be so hard to have a text version?

I like to scan/skim through a news story and glean the parts I want - trying to do that with a video is a lot more frustrating.
