I know it’s supposed to be a new holiday classic and all, but the preview always rankles me. A whiny kid and a bunch of cold-hearted adults in lots of uncomfortable family and gift-angsty moments. It seems like a cringer on the order of Meet the Fockers, which I also have no interest in seeing.
In my defense, I’d like to tell you all how much I love Egg Nog.

If you haven't seen "A Christmas Story", you must be making a concious effort to avoid it, since it airs almost everyday, starting the day after Thanksgiving, and plays on at least 100 different channels, 24 hours a day, until the day after Christmas.

ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I don't care of it myself. Yes, my friends and family constantly berate me for that, and every couple of years I break down and watch it again thinking, I must have seen it in the wrong frame of mind, in a bad mood, on an off day, without drinking a few beers first, etc. And each time I come back to the fact that I just don't like that movie.

Adding that this movie is A riot! I agree that you need to find copious amounts of eggnog and watch it.
