This is a view from the living room to the kitchen and dining room. Why oh why the kitchen pass-through is such a source of excitement, I have no idea.

Maybe if we actually did the whole 'Entertain' thing you hear about constantly on HGTV.."Like, ohmygod, that'll be great for when we entertain!"..it would matter, but we're too antisocial.

Looks real nice though. Not sure myself what is up with that whole entertain thing. Although...that passthrough would be great for a cat to jump up on, lay out and watch tv.

ReplyDeleteSet a camera up just outside the pass through, and film yourself pretending to cook (Just put lots of pans filled with water on the stove, puts out lots of steam and make it look like you're really busy)
Then (and this is the clever part)
Put a TV screen behind the pass through, facing into the other room.
Then, when you have people over, play the video, while you sit in the kitchen and read a book. Order take-out...and your guests think you spent hours cooking!
Just don't forget to dust some flour on your shirt and face so it really does LOOK like you've been cooking.
