Yep, pets are great. I think in my entire life the longest I've been without a pet is about 2 years (That was after Bonnie died, our first dog, who joined my family before I did, and lived to the ripe old age of 16).
I've owned dogs, parakeets, guinea pigs, hamsters, all manner of fish and even a runny babbit once.
Oh, and don't let Catalina's aloofness fool you. Padme follows me around like a puppy...only he's always a few steps behind or ahead...and if you look at him, he'll lie down and streeeeetch.
"Huh? Me, following YOU? Don't be ridiculous!"
(One hint though, if you let her sleep on the bed, make no sudden movements...I twitched as I was falling asleep once and got a commando-kitty attack on my hand for my trouble...and Padme hasn't been de-clawed)
Obviously, her work is done.
ReplyDelete"The humans will take care of everything- I'll just nap whilst they finish up."
Boy, THAT didn't take long did it?
I've been dying for a pet for 35 years! I'm very happy to serve my little Cat Boss.

ReplyDeleteWell, at least you seem to have gotten the hang of pet "owner"ship down pretty quickly.
